    big dung's logic:

before the fight: floyd will make $100 million if the the ppvs is at least 3 million. that's according to ellerbe so it must be true.

after the fight: ppvs is a million less so floyd should still have made $90 million

even if we assume ellerbe's ridiculous estimate as true (makes me puke just to assume that), there's no way your god makes $90 million. he said floyd could make $100 million but the fight has to make at least 3 million ppvs.

the fight made a million less ppvs and you only deducted $10 million from ellerbe's estimate. do you fuucking realize the ******ity in that? do you know how much a million ppvs is worth that it would only make a $10 million dent on floyd's earnings as per ellerbe's estimate? again use your fuccking brain. you're worse than ellerbe.
I didn't deduct an exact figure did I. I posted he made about $90 mil from the canelo fight. no more, no less.

my guess is when you add in the money made from all the revenue streams connected to he fight its quite possible that he made close to $90mil, not because of what ellerbee said, but because of floyd's deal as reportd in the NY Times.

I don't think the initial post required that response-but since you felt it did you and the other 3rd world dip**** can goo **** yourselves and each other an your families!

This is an interesting subjectI just found the following from Turbo-Taxes. Assuming that Phony loses more than he wins, he will never have a surplus spillover so that he can claim for his losses. And it all has to apply to a single year at a time with no carry-over.

*****Keeping track of your winnings and losses

The IRS requires you to keep a diary of your winnings and losses from lotteries, raffles, horse and dog races, casino games, poker games and sports betting as a prerequisite to deducting losses from your winnings. Your diary must include the date and type of ******** you engage in, the name and address of the places where you gamble, the people you gambled with and the amount you win and lose. Other documentation to prove your losses can include Form W-2G, Form 5754, wagering tickets, canceled checks or credit records and receipts from the ******** facility.
                      Limitations on loss deductions

The amount of ******** losses you can deduct can never exceed the winnings you report as income. For example, if you have $5,000 in winnings but $8,000 in losses, your deduction is limited to $5,000. You could not write off the remaining $3,000, or carry it forward to future years.
                      Reporting ******** losses

To report your ******** losses, you must be eligible to itemize your income tax deductions on Schedule A. You are eligible to itemize deductions if your ******** losses plus all other itemized expenses are greater than the standard deduction for your filing status. This means that if you claim the standard deduction, you are still obligated to report and pay tax on all winnings you earn during the year. However, you will not be able to deduct any of your losses.
                      Only ******** losses

The IRS does not permit you to simply subtract your losses from your winnings and report your net profit or loss. And if you have a particularly unlucky year, you cannot just deduct your losses without reporting any winnings. If the IRS allowed this, then it's essentially subsidizing taxpayer ********. The bottom line is that losing money at a casino or the race track does not by itself reduce your tax bill. You need to first owe tax on winnings before a loss deduction is available. Therefore, at best, deducting your losses allows you to avoid paying tax on your winnings, but nothing more.
