He looked great against Margarito no doubt but he looked awesome against a prime DLH and Fernando Vargas and his run at LW was unreal.

Bottom line is he did look great but he was past prime.

mosley most certainly did not look better in either of the DLH fights than he did in the margarito fight.

He could have lost the second DLH fight. Yes, I was about to say that he looked great in the Vargas fights as well - but then the critic would say you are having double standards as Vargas was past his prime as well.

Buttom line is Mosley came into the Mayweather fight looking better at WW than he had ever done against a guy he was a 4-1 underdog against (as far as I remember). Margarito had a cast iron chin, and Mosley just demolished him in every aspect of the fight.

He totally deserved a fight against Mayweather, for which he was champion btw, and was just beaten by a better man on the night. It's as simple as that.

Cotto and Mosleys victory agains Margarito were defining victories but they were both well past prime when they fought Mayweather.

We have seen Maidana's boxing skills and his flaws and weaknesses exposed more times than Khans.

The notion that Floyd has to fight an undefeated champion every time he goes out is a funny one. Yet if he can't do that, then he won't get credit for his victories ala Cotto for example.

Both Maidana and Khan are good fighters and each in their own right deserve a shot at the champ.

Any consideration of Khan as an opponent is just insulting to fans intelligence. So many others more credible to chose from and that list starts with Manny Pacquiao still waiting more than 5 years now.

and Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers did have fast hands but they gave up a lot in reach, weight and height and that makes a huge difference you can have all the hand speed in the World but if you are fight a huge guy with longer arms you aren't going to be able to hit him as much and its hard to sustain any success that you may have for a full 12 rounds

IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter has no problem with Amir Khan potentially challenging Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs) for the WBC welterweight crown. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is reportedly the frontrunner to face Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
