Gary Russell Jr. Took out the trash this year and is looking to step up the competition next year.

The sad part is Russell won 2011 prospect of the year and he's still fighting TBA lol

Dont really see what's so great about Spence. Didnt really like how he performed in his last two fights.

Artur Beterbiev was very impressive in his first three fights, and he has a good promoter that will keep him active.

I hope he moves up to fringe contender opposition late this year, with his strong amateur background he doesn't need as many fights against journeymen.

Likewise, Beterbiev's former amateur rival Alexander Usyk was very impressive in his first two fights.

These are my picks for Prospect Of The Year:

                  1. Naoya "Monster" Inoue
                  2. Miguel "Alacran" Berchelt
                  3. Alejandro "Cobrita" Gonzalez Jr.
                  4. Felix "Diamante" Verdejo
                  5. Errol "The Truth" Spence

Solid kids, look them up. I expect big things from them in the future.

Oh, and I don't consider Vasyl Lomachenko a prospect. At 25 years old, he's a damn grown man. The prospects I named are kids.

Loma is a rare breed that he never was/is/will be a prospect.

First he was a debuting ams. standout.

That went straight into a world title fight not just for a paperbelt against a real champion.

                    Oleksander Usyk
                    Naoya Inoue

Verdejo had a really busy year, fought multiple times.
