Should Erik Morales take a fight before he fights Manny Pacquaio again?

Should he just wait for Pac? or fight someone in between to keep his weight down. The bad thing is what if the fight takes some more years out of his boxing career.

I dont see Morales having much longer a career, nor do i think he can seriously campaing at 135.If he wants to have one last shot then i guess a fight with Pac would make the most sense.Having a fight in between,I dont know,I mean i think he needs a long rest frist of all,and then I dont know if he should risk losing by taking a fight before pac again

      yeah here's the thing.

Morales is one of the greatest fighters of our generation - yes.

Morales is a ring warrior, who has given the sport everything - yes

Morales still has some gas left in the tank - No.

If Morales loses to Manny in the next fight, It's time to hang up the gloves permanently. I'm tired of seeing him get big paydays over and over and losing the fights.....Its ****ing annoying.

I can't wait for him to retire. Sept is too soon.

if he is to fight Manny in September, YES get a tune up.

Why get a tune-up? So he can show something impressive in that fight that can hype the 3rd rematch. Maybe shows he still got it and will possess problems to Pac in 3rd fight.

If Pac is gettin a tune-up, why not him? He needs it more than Manny. He has lost twice in a row. A win will boost his confidence definitely.
