the reason MAB is fighting Chavez........

WHAT DO U GUYS THINK ABOUT THIS...CERTAINLY DOWN THE ROAD, MAB WANTS TO FIGHT PAC, HE'S JUST TOO PROUD TO JUST LET THE RECORD AND HISTORY BE AS IT IS TODAY.HE'LL FOREVER BE CALLED CHICKEN IF HE WON'T FIGHT PAC BEFORE HE HANG UP HIS GLOVES FOR GOOD.MAB KNOWS THAT. BUT SHOULD IT HAPPEN, AND DEFINITELY IT WILL, UNLESS FATES WILL INTERVENE,THIS I BELIEVE IS HIS, AND HIS THINK TANKS ARE PLANNIN.

HE IS NOT FIGHTIN PAC NOW, BECAUSE OF ALL THE CONFIDENCE HE HAS RIGHT NOW.IT'S MUCH TOO DANGEROUS FOR HIM.MOREOVER, HE IS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THE WEIGHT THAT HE IS IN AS OF THE MOMENT,130 lbs. NOW,HE IS FIGHTIN CHAVEZ AT A MUCH HIGHER WEIGHT,135 lbs.IF HE BEATS CHAVEZ,HE'LL PROBABLY GOIN TO CALL OUT PAC TO FIGHT HIM AT THE SAME WEIGHT,135 lbs.LOGICAL, SINCE HE IS GOIN TO HOLD ONE PART OF THE LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION.AND HE IS GOIN TO DEFEND IT AGAINST PAC.

THE DILEMA AGAINST PAC HERE IS THIS, SHOULD HE DECIDES TO FIGHT MAB AT 135 lbs., IT WILL BE DANGEROUS FOR PAC,CONSIDERING THAT ONE OF HIS ADVANTAGES AGAINST MAB IS HIS SPEED.IT MAY BE AFFECTED BY THE SUDDEN CHANGE IN WEIGHT. CLEARLY MAB WILL HAVE AN ADVANTAGE AGAINST PAC IN SUCH A SCENARIO.SO THE MOST LOGICAL THING FOR PAC TO DO IS TO DECLINE A FIGHT WITH MAB AT 135 LBS.IF TODAY HE IS NOT FIGHTING MORALES AT 132 LBS., WHY WOULD HE RISK A FIGHT WITH MAB AT 135lbs.CERTAINLY PAC WONT RISK A FIGHT AT THAT WEIGHT.SO WHO WILL BE CALLED CHICKEN NOW.HISTORY WILL WRITE IT OFF LIKE THIS, "MAB WAS CHALLEGIN PAC BUT HE DECLINE A SECOND FIGHT WITH HIM."

NOW SHOULD MAB LOSES TO CHAVEZ, HE WILL HAVE ALL THE EXCUSES IN THE WORLD TO LOSE TO HIM.HE IS MUCH BIGGER. THEN IF HE DECIDES TO FIGHT PAC AFTER THE LOSS, GOIN DOWN TO 130 lbs AND HE EVENTUALLY LOSES TO PAC, HE WILL BE IN THE PRECARIOUS SITUATION THAT MORALES IS IN NOW.SUDDEN DROP OF WEIGHT, TIRED OF ALL THE BATTLES, OLD AGE, TO NAME A FEW, WOULD DEFINITELY BE AVAILABLE REASONS FOR HIM.NOT THAT PAC WAS A BETTER FIGHTER THAN HIM.

A WIN OR LOSS TO CHAVEZ WILL DEFINITELY BE BENEFICIAL TO THE CAREER AND LEGACY OF MAB..I MEAN WITH REGARD TO HIS EVENTUAL FIGHT WITH PAC....WHAT DO U THINK???BY THE WAY,,,, FILIPINO AKO!!!!!

The fight with Chavez is more dangerous than any fight with Pacquiao. Chavez killed a guy in his last fight, a guy that punched much harder than Barrera. I personally don't see how Barrera wins this fight when Chavez will likely weigh 150 pounds for the fight. If Barrera beats Chavez, it will make a Pacquiao rematch 100 times larger. Sooner or later that rematch will happen, too much money involved for it not to happen.

Chavez more dangerous? I don't think so.

I'll use basic common sense and just one sentence to counter your argument.

              "I don't fight Morales' leftovers".

Chavez is as tough an 130/135 fighter as you are going to find. Overall, he is a stronger opponent than is Pacquiao, although Manny hits harder and is obviously more skilled.

Still it's a very tough fight for Barrera. Chavez is coming off two good wins and he looks pretty solid at 135. I favor him to beat Marco just on size and the fact that Marco has been fighting C level fighters alone.

I'm also in the grouping that believes Pacquiao would beat Barrera should they fight again...but that shouldn't stop them from fighting anyway. It's just a bad style matchup for Marco.
