  • Comments Thread For: Hryunov in Talks With Mayorga For Chudinov Clash

According to Russian promoter Vladimir "красивый" Hryunov, former two division champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-8-1, 23KOs) wants him to handle his career. After a stint in MMA, Mayorga is ready to return to the sport of boxing, but he's been inactive since 2011.

Hryunov wants to match him against undefeated middleweight prospect Dmitry Chudinov (12-0-2, 8KOs), who holds the WBA's International title at 160, but Mayorga falls short of the requirements for a title fight under the rules of the World Boxing Association. [Click Here To Read More]

Hryunov is one funny guy. Does he do standup as a side gig by any chance? really had me at the "rules" part.

Hryunov may actually be good for boxing. He definately doesnt mind putting up the cash to make things happen. Side note i hope Mayorga has something left in terms of talent and ability as well as mindset to make a decent run to cap off what could have been a brilliant career if he had been dedicated to the sport and his conditioning in his prime.

I'll get excited when he puts money up for something good. He's trying to get in on Klitbro again

Hmm..wonder how this ties in with Dmitrys rumoured interim title position/clash for the GGG mandatory?
