I don't know who I'd pick in this. Vargas was a brilliant technical boxer and had real power. The Vargas that got in the ring with Tito not the one that got out after the fight.

well first of all there would be stringint olympic style testing so vargas wont be able to juice up again lmao,,but in all honesty floyd whips him and dismantles him with his speed alone.Vargas wasnt known for doing many things very well but he did some things ok.Floyd might even stop him late,the dude was just to damn slow for Floyds speed and gets picked apart

Prime Vargas could take what Castillo did to a whole 'nother level. Vargas had tremendous hands. Very similar to Cotto in that regard. He would touch Floyd, make no mistake, and he was bigger and more athletic with true dynamite in both fists. Vargas was flatfooted and Floyd would give him a devil of a time with his NBA pointguard business but I'd pick Vargas with full confidence. Too big. Too strong and too skilled to not make Floyd pay for any possible error. Vargas was a sharpshooter.

I don't think It would have been much of a fight and I personally don't think he was a brilliant technical boxer, although he did have some real power. Catching Floyd with It Is a whole different story. Floyd by UD.

vargas in 2000 was far better than dlh in 2007, cotto in 2012 and better than canelo will ever be. 154 is not floyd's best weight class. i don't know who would win but it would be a helluva fight.
