Comments Thread For: WBA: Golovkin's Request For Super Champion Denied

The Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association has made a decision that Gennady Golovkin will continue forward as the "regular" champion. A request made by the middleweight champion, [for super champion status], was denied for the moment due to the fact he was already granted special permission to take a fight prior to his mandatory commitment.

Is Murray his mandatory? He's being denied by the WBA because Murray doesn't want it yet?

Maybe he should fight another MW champion first...?

        Hah, Golovkin requested it?

He requested special permission to fight Stevenson and he requested special permission to fight Adama. Why doesn't he just force the purse bid if he really wanted Murray that badly?

        Obviously ducking Murray.

            "Why is he ducking Murray?"

Well, didn't you people understand that GGG is a "ducker"? An "untested", "overhyped" "ducker"... He actually doesn't want Martinez, Murray, Quillin, Ward, right?... But they all want him, right? They all call him out relentlessly, right?
And GGG is in this sport only for ducking, right?...

            (Hilarious discussion board...)

I got your humor this time! I was confused again at first though.

Adding to the topic... Golovkin is paying for other fighters ducking him. The sport of boxing... where the best... well, decide who they want to fight or not.

                  Who the fcuk??????

Quilling wants NONE of that and says "oh he's a HBO fighter, so we can't do the fight".

GGG would destroy Barker in 1 round, and retire Maravilla in 6. But the truth is... they want NONE.

Really WBA? You granted him special permission to fight Stevens?

Even Hatton acknowledged they've received a deal from K2 and Loeffler.

If you didn't want to give him special permission to fight Stevens, why didn't you order the fight and put it to purse bid after Hatton rejected the offer?

Other than N'Dam fight, how many other purse bids have they set up?
