Over the past two years, undefeated junior welterweight/welterweight contender Jessie Vargas (23-0) has campaigned for a title shot. On April 12th he will finally get his chance when he faces WBA/IBO junior welterweight champion Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-0) in Las Vegas on the televised pay-per-view undercard of Manny Pacquiao's next ring appearance.

Vargas said that he plans on putting on a great performance and proving his critics wrong.

I agree with Vargas. Khabib is going to get battered, all he did was beat a washed up Guzman. Vargas is better in just about every category, and he's much bigger the Khabib..
