Canelo will fight Angulo

Nobody can stop a fighter from rehydrating after the weigh in. If Lara and his team were told that Lara could not rehydrate after the weigh in and they believed it then they are ignorant on the rules of pro boxing in the states and should educate themselves. No person in charge of the rules of Lara's fight would tell him he couldn't gain as much weight as he wanted between the weigh in and the fight. I am sure the ring was of legal size and a fighter of Lara's skill and experience should be able to fight well in any legal size ring. I don't think the deck was stacked against Lara.Comment

What other fight do you see people asking for at 154? Besides Mayweather - Lara.Originally posted by Jalisciense909Quote:

Lara vs Canelo = the fight everyone wants to see at 154.

I wouldn't say that it's the fight that "everyone wants to see", but I think that Lara vs. Canelo is the best fight to be made at 154. But not with Canelo coming off a one-sided loss, and neither Canelo nor Lara having a belt.
Lara needs to build himself up a little bit more and try to get a belt, and Canelo needs to get back in the win column and try to get a belt also.

I am a Canelo fan but lots of guys on Boxing Scene don't like him and some of them trash every fight he has. When he was champion he was obligated to fight the best if he wanted to be seen by fans as a good champion. Often he did not fight the top contenders so he deserved to be trashed. He did fight and defeat top rated Trout in a close fight. He is not a champion now so he is not obligated to fight any particular fighter. For years I've heard that Canelo was avoiding both Molina and Angulo. Now he will fight one of them and it looks like he will be accused of ducking the one he does not fight. He can't fight them both on the same night. They are both high rated FULL SIZED 154 pounders so either one of them is a good fight for him. Lara showed up Canelo by beating the hell out of Trout. Now Canelo can show up Lara by beating either of these fighters better than Lara did. I am sure Lara and Canelo will fight in the future.Comment

You don't seem to know who told Lara there was a limit to how much weight he could gain. I'll bet it was NOT the commission because they can't legally do that. Somebody probably did tell Lara that but it was someone with no authority to do so.Comment

None of us do. What we do know is that he was told not to do it.Originally posted by boliodogsQuote:
