Wladimir is just as fast as I've said he is. He has been beaten because he lacks great nerve and intestinal fortitude. More so than a solid chin, he losses his composure when hit with a hard shot. Ali would have lost almost every major fight of his career if he reacted the same way to a punch.

You can show me a guy with the best handspeed, power, footwork, and combination punching ability in the sport but if he spooks when hit hard he will never be great. Boxing is 80% mental, or psychological. You can be a perfect physical specimen and the greatest athlete on earth and lose to a clubfighter if you can't keep your cool when you get whacked.

Wlad possesses the flaws you mentioned.....but doesn't possess the handspeed you believe he has.
He's quick.....but, even for his size, nothing spectacular.

truthfully.....I've never viewed him as being any faster than Michael Grant (much better fighter than Grant, however)....
& I can't imagine anyone thinking Grant posessed some of the sport's fastest fists.

Name another 6'6" man of similar frame who has or had comparable handspeed. The best I can think of is 6'4" Sanders who was a naturally smaller man and would weigh maybe 210 pounds in shape. Wladimir is a very lean 245 pounds and was quicker than Chris Byrd in his prime (who was a quick heavyweight even for a little guy).

So name other guys that size who were faster or even as fast.
