Here is a tip. Learn from the past. GGG is Lucas ALL over again. Don't wind up like the other kids on this forum who thought they knew something about boxing and bet their Xbox on Lucas.
How did I act as if Danny did not shut his eye. I said he was losing until he got his eye got injured.

Lucas was ahead on the scorecards. 4 -2 by the 6th by most judges. I haven't seen the full scorecards by judges but since it was a 3 round win, and Matthyse lost pretty much every round from the 7th (Eye injury) it's safe to assume so.

Care to explain how Golovkin is anything like Matthysse - thrill us with your boxing acumen.

Cotto gets props for fighting best available competition, i just dont think his style and body can pull it of.

Exactly. Matthyse got hype but he failed to beat Alexander and Zab. Both to me are fighters that if you are at the top, you should be able to beat decisively. He may have beaten them which I agree, but it was close.

I was the one that made the Shawn Porter Train thread for Alexander because I never rated Alexander at all.

Zab I don't need to explain.

I don't think Cotto can beat many people at the top of 160....let alone GGG....this is a serious thread?

Cotto is the better fighter. That's all I know at this point. What would happen between these two still has some sorting out as we see how Cotto looks at the weight and how Golovkin continues to perform as his opposition gets better.

cotto's not even a top fighter at 154 but I think going up to 160 to face a devastating puncher would do him wonders. his chin and stamina would actually get better amir khan style and he would dance his way to an easy win. yes cotto does have the feet to be fleet-footed.
