I was just reading up on stats and I have to say, James Kirkland has beat some top opposition, two of which are Canelo's leading options for his big ppv card. I wonder why people don't include JK in their conversations when they talk about opponents for guys like Mayweather and Alvarez. He has earned a big payday, if anyone has. Yeah, he got tko'd by some good shots a few years ago by a journeyman, so what. He has a better resume that alot of these other guys with only that one freak loss.
Canelo choosing from James Kirkland leftovers

he does have a good resume unfortunately he sued golden boy promotions and jumped shipped SMS promotions so he won't be getting any of those pay days now. HBO should still give him some solid opponents. Maybe he can get a title shot at Andrade but being in with the cash cows like Canelo & Floyd Mayweather will never happen now due to the politics of boxing. He can still have a solid career over on HBO and get some solid pay days if he continues to look the way he did in his last fight though. Lets face it though he left a talent rich JMW stable at GBP where the match up possibilities were endless to go to HBO where the marquee names around his weight class just aren't at. He just has to keep taking care of business and keep winning and he will still carve out a decent living for himself. -
Molina isn't a Kirkland leftover. He should of lost that fight. This is coming from a Kirkland fan. You need to watch the fights instead of following the opinions from idiots.Comment

Unfortunately we will never know what would have happened in that fight because it certainly seemed like Kirkland was on the verge of knocking Molina out.
Anyways, I agree, Kirkland should be a frunt runner not Angulo or Molina.Comment

lol, Canelo can't step to Kirkland... he knows he'll get KO'd... so he'll take the pieces that couldn't tame him.
Won't be surprised if he targets Ishida... he'll win a decision... only GGG can crack that chinComment

Alvarez and Richard Schafer are picking the most well-known fighter that they can find that they know Alvarez can beat. Instead of choosing between Molina and Angulo, Alvarez should be choosing between Lara and Kirkland. However, choosing Lara or Kirkland would not result in a guaranteed win, and Schafer is still trying to build Alvarez into a PPV star and a cash cow.I was just reading up on stats and I have to say, James Kirkland has beat some top opposition, two of which are Canelo's leading options for his big ppv card. This is why Kirkland is likely not getting a fight with Canelo. He's made some very ****** business moves in his career. Suing GB was one of them since they have mostly if not all of the top jr. Middleweights. I just don't see how GB gives him a fight after pulling that move specially with how resentful they are with TR.he does have a good resume unfortunately he sued golden boy promotions and jumped shipped SMS promotions so he won't be getting any of those pay days now.
