Cotto has always been a warrior. Arum was the one who tried to stifle Cotto's warrior spirit with his match-making. Cotto is not my favourite fighter, but dude has my ultimate respect as a fighter, and i will always tune in to see him fight.

arum had cotto fight pac and margarita, and also offered Floyd a career high payday to fight cotto but you are right arum didn't want cotto mixing with guys like sharmba Mitchell and baldomir.

I'm assuming this is a joke because if you're serious your mom must have dropped you on your head when you were little.

Cotto will fight anyone, whereas Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr won't.... I think that's pretty much universally accepted

Pacquiao started his pro career at 108
Mayweather started his pro career at 130
Cotto started his pro career at 140.

140 is not considered "lower weights".

A fighter who started at 140 is more than likely to fight at 160, successfully actually. That is a mere 20lbs north of his debut weight, if he even does it at the full 160 limit.

Floyd has already fought 24lbs north of his debut weight, 3 times.

Pacquiao has fought 42lbs north of his debut weight.

Due to Pacquiao skipping amateurs, it looks like he's leaped higher than Floyd. But actually in the same span, Floyd has gone up the same amount of weight. In fact, Pacquiao was bigger than Floyd was at 130-140, and they are currently the same exact size (148-152lbs) FN weight.

Cotto is like about 165lbs (fight night), much bigger than Floyd and Pac and more or less Martinez's size (167lbs on fight night).

I don't get the warrior label for fighting who he's supposed to fight.

No one has yet to realize that praising Cotto for his resume is like praising Mayweather for fighting Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez, Hatton, Mosley, Ortiz, Guerrero, Baldomir. And praising Pac for for fighting Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Hatton, Clottey.

Like is this logic even serious?

Relative to the weight classes they started in, Cotto has fought who he's supposed to fight. Mayweather fought who he's supposed to fight and more, Pac also.

Difference being May and Pac actually won their fights. I mean May and Pac actually came up to Cotto's weight class of 147 and 154 respectively and have better resumes than he does in the respective weight classes. That's about as pathetic as it gets.
