If you're not a Pacquiao or a Canelo, who's drawing power was largely dependent on "being the guy to beat Floyd." I really don't see why you don't take the fight first chance you get. Because even if Danny is routed by Floyd. He's lost nothing because he wasn't expected to win and he's still the champ at 40.
A Garcia fight will happen just not ATM. They will build him up more before putting him in with the best WW especially since Garcia hasn't even fought at WW.

Floyd's best current weight is 147 and outside of 2 Top Rank fighters (who will basically only fight other Top Rank fighters), Floyd can fight ANY WW. The problem is, everyone knows Floyd is just too good for all of them. So of course everyone goes the safe route and only picks Top Rank Welter Weights to beat Floyd knowing damn well the fights won't happen regardless of how good or bad they are.
Anyway, Floyd is fighting at his current best weight and Maidana is the best option ATM. He's 4-0 in his last 4 with 3 by way of KO/TKO's and coming off probably the best win of his career, especially at 147.

The only way I would pay for this is if he was fighting Khan followed immediately by a fight with Maidana following a 12 minute break. Otherwise he sould fight someone that makes sense. Nall only if he was fight Pacquiao since that's all he's been on for about a week now. He has made fans start wanting that fight again but even before that I wasn't gonna pay to see another glorified sparring session.
