Comments Thread For: Nacho: If Bradley Runs Again, Marquez Will Lose Rematch

Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain would like to see his famous student, Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7, 40KOs), defeat WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley in a rematch and then retire from the sport after two more fights.

Marquez, 40-years-old, was close to retirement after knocking Manny Pacquiao out in the sixth round of their fourth meeting in December 2012. Marquez decided to come back for an October shot at Bradley, who picked up a twelve round split decision win. Marquez and Nacho believe the judges robbed them with Bradley.

Bradley fought a smart fight and got the decision, he shouldn't expect him to deviate from that fight plan unless forced to do so. Everyone knows that JMM is one of the best counter punchers in the sport and should be treated as such in the ring.

Why is a rematch even being discussed? Bradley clearly won.

so basically he's saying that if bradley would stand in front of him all night jmm would win...LMFAO

yeah if floyd would've stood in front of dlh all night he might've been broner'd...unfortunately for nacho bradley knows how to use his feet...maybe he should teach jmm how to cut off the ring and dictate the action...that might win them the fight

"If Bradley stood still and let Marquez punch him, we'll knock Bradley out in the rematch."

ahahahaah watch the last 10 seconds of the fight, they go to war and JMM was almost knocked down. NACHO trying to make a rematch of a fight his fighter lost clearly;he knows JMM can't sleep over a defeat;anyway JMM doesn't give rematch when he wins so : WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!!!

"Runs"??? What does he mean by that??? Bradley put on a boxing exhibition. Why is lateral movement in this day called running??? I guess Ali, Leonard, and Robinson ran their whole career. In my day it was called dancing in the ring. Its not done like that now, but Bradley used it to perfection and kept a notorious counter puncher from countering him. He did his job. Its not his fault that Marquez didn't cut off the ring and force him to exchange. But in all honesty, I feel like Diaz held Bradley back from putting on a masterful performance. Bradley wanted to exchange much more but Diaz would rip him in between rounds when he did. I think Bradley could have made it a much more one sided fight if he had of exchanged more. He rocked Marquez twice in the fight. Once with an overhand right and once with a left hook. I hope in a rematch that Bradley gives them what they want and exchange. They will find out quickly that its Marquez who will be at a disadvantage.
