KAL YAFAI is wasting no time wiping away the memory of his Olympic heartbreak as he targets a push towards world super-flyweight title contention in 2014.

Ex-top amateur Yafai was denied a place at London 2012 after losing a box-off to Welsh rival Andrew Selby.

However, the 24-year-old insists the experience made him all the more determined to succeed in the professional ranks.

Kal is a very talented and has that flashy style that can attract a crowd. Sadly, 2013 was hindered by injury otherwise he would have been moved along faster. Superfly-superbantam, which is where I think he'll spend his career, are always divisions packed with good, talented fighters, it'll be interesting to see how he is handled in 2014.

I doubt he gets a title shot next year but european and british honours beckon.
