  • Comments Thread For: Groves: I Want Froch Rematch To Correct That Injustice

Super middleweight George Groves (19-1, 15KOs), has plenty of options to look forward to in 2014, but IBF/WBA "regular" champion Carl Froch is at the top of his list. Groves is still hungry to secure a rematch with Froch, looking to avenge what many felt was a premature stoppage in the ninth round of their November fight.

Groves told Sky Sports News: "I say I've got options and I do have options but I don't want these options, I want to fight Carl Froch, I want to be world champion, I want to right the wrong, the injustice of the last fight. The fact that there's such a demand for a rematch now, the fact that everyone knows that that's the only fight that can take place next."

Groves landed 24 flush shots on Froch in round 6, the only punch that hurt either fighter was a short left hand from Froch on Groves who ends the round hurt.

We get it Groves, we really do. Not only do we get it, we also agree. BUT, Froch is clearly scared now. Groves needs to take the moral victory and the "peoples" victory with him and make something bigger out of it. Froch won't be able to take seeing Groves become a bigger name than him in the U.K. or U.S. boxing market. Beat him by becoming more relevant and force his ego into a fight, as the man is not interested.

Indeed you are right sir but I don't think anyone is debating wether Froch hurt Groves or not as he clearly did hurt him. However Groves clearly hurt Froch worse in the first round when he put him on his back and was dominating the fight. By a landslide? No. But he was ahead and deserved a chance to either be really stopped or to fight on. Regardless of how we got to the point of the fight, the stoppage was premature and Groves deserves a rematch,

no he wants the payday, tbf froch deserved his stoppage groves was turning into a punch bag in there but that comes with the territory of being a booth fighter.

And yet only one fighter went down.

Froch was hurt badly in the first.

Fucking hell mate, you are seriously deluded.

How on earth can you just say (which you just did) that Froch was never hurt? He got up from a knockdown and stumbled around on his feet.

Friendly jovial bet we've got mate. But stop living in disbelief, it's not healthy.
