I'm not exactly excited about this fight either but with the belt he'll get from Byrd, Wlad will be in a great position to challenge the other title holders.
Wlad will fight Toney before he fights Brewster

FOR THE LAST TIME WHY IS HE NOT GETTING THE BELT FROM THE GUY THAT BEAT HIM AND NOT A BLOWN UP CRUISER THAT HE ALREADY BEAT?

I have to say that I dont see Toney winning. Dont get me wrong, as far as technical ability, Toney is the probably the best boxer in the division. But styles make fights. The only time Klitschko struggles a lot is against agressive, big punchers. That's why he had a little trouble with Peter despite his B-level talent. Toney is a small, light hitting counter puncher, similar to Byrd. Its just a bad style match up. Im taking anything away from him, but Toney is going to find it very difficult to land anything significant. The physical advantage Wlad has is too great.Comment

obviously this fight is just a stepping stone to an undisputed champ.... you will eventually have wlad and brewster with two belts each and see a mega-fight for the undisputed championship with Wlad winning by 9th round KO
only thing is i could see toney pulling off an upset against brewsterComment

Also, why don't you consider the Don King effect? It's not like these guys just pick there own fights outright. There are many reasons why this fight is happening instead of a Brewster/Klitschko fight but you only point the finger at Wlad. How do you know if it wasn't the Brewster camp that didn't want to fight now?
What are you going to do if he beats Brewster and Byrd? Man!Comment

If he beats Byrd? So ****ing what. Byrd is older, smaller and he's already beat him. And the ****ing fight is in GERMANY. Talk about having the odds against you.
But you Klitschko fans are going to talk about how great Byrd is like Leo Padun is doing. And how great Peter is. Pretty sad. You guys just want a belt on him without caring about the circumstances Wlad got the belt.
Originally posted by TorinoBecause Byrd is the path of least resistance to a title. The least risk. It's got nothing to do with fear, it's all about smart management. Brewster comes later and at a bigger payday than if he fought him now. That's the reason. Why is that so hard for you to understand? Or are you just disapointed because you hate Wlad so much that you want him to take the greater risk now?

So you really think he'd be trying to fight Brewster? My ass. He didnt give TOS a rematch. He didnt give Sanders a rematch. He didnt give Brewster a rematch.
Like the ***** that he or his management is, he had his big brother fight his battles like a real man.
