Comments Thread For: Martinez: Maidana Would Not Be Easy For Mayweather

WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez gives his countryman Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31KOs), the WBA's welterweight champion, a good shot to upset his WBC counterpart in Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs), who is regarded as the pound-for-pound king.

On December 14th, Maidana upset the odds and shook up the scene when he pulled off a twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Adrien Broner, who Mayweather considers a close personal friend.

      i agree.

maidana is adept at throwing that overhand hybrid hook over the top of the shoulder roll defense. I would favor floyd obviously but Maidana wont get white washed like a dumb canelo who tried to outbox a boxer instead of mugging and slugging it out and using his size.

Maidana would go after floyd the way ortiz did before he lost his head.

This guy talks about everybody but Golovkin lol. Sad excuse of a "champion". He was very vocal about Chavez Jr though, such a warrior spirit trying to get a Jr fight!

i think so too....and even if marcos loses , he wont take much punishment..i expect floyd to be on his bike the whole time thrwoing about 30 punches per round (lower than vs baldomir) but wont shut him out....
