why do most British support Pacquaio over Mayweather?

Not so in my case, my friends that don't follow boxing know who Mayweather is but most haven't got a clue who Pacquiao is.

If you look at the British boxing forums (old ESB, CHB) there seems to be a more favorable view of Mayweather than Pacquiao. Nothing like you see on here though. I'm sure there are plenty of fans of both in the UK.

Most people that I know are more in favour of Mayweather than Pacquiao, most know who Mayweather is and am talking about people from London not up north.
