Cotto can't beat a guy who fights with his hands down, stick his head out, and has slower speed and reflexes than ever? Please, Sergio is just as easy to hit as Cotto if not easier and whoever said Cotto has no right hand... against Sergio he doesn't need it. Sergio will be eating that power left jab all night long and his nose will be crushed and gas out within 10 rounds like he always does. They both do actually, but Sergio is nothing like a slick boxer as people seem to claim, he fights like Roy Jones and will break down just as quicly as Roy, that's the problem with that kind of style. The minute you aren't the fastest in the ring you get eaten up, and well Cotto is faster on his feet than Sergio and possibly handspeed.
All these guys saying Cotto is small for JMW and MW are exactly right, he is definitely too small for MW. However, Sergio isn't a big MW either he is tall and weighs 165-170 on fight night... So does Cotto about 160-165. That's not a substantial difference, and Cotto is faster anyone saying otherwise is an idiot. Sergio looks fast compared to 180+ pounders, but against Cotto he won't have that foot or handspeed advantage. It's a toss up fight, but Sergio will be coming off 2 knee surgeries, a hand surgery, a year and a half off and nearly 40 years old. We have seen a notable decline in Martinez over his last two fights. Perhaps it was injury, but I remain skeptical given his age. I think if Cotto can go in and do his thing and not gas out too early gives Cotto a chance if Martinez has continued to decline. Martinez is one of my favorite fights though, so I will be cheering for him.Comment

WTF are you talking about? Sergio has been knocked down by Paul Williams (twice I think) he got knocked down by Pavlik, he got knocked down by Chavez, and he was dropped in his last fight. Martinez gets his by EVERYONE (not just the best puncher P4P in the world possibly,) you are clown saying Williams didn't land a jab... Williams is the WORST example you can think of. They guy leaned down 4-5 inches, and didn't use his height AT ALL that's why he got KTFO. You know nothing about boxing, it's official. A guy drops his hands, sticks his face out and Cotto can't hit him? WTF... LMAO, Cotto hit Floyd more than anyone in boxing, and Floyd is 10 million times harder to hit than Sergio.
