Comments Thread For: Cotto-Canelo Clash is Still Possible For Next Year

Gaby Peñagarícano, the legal adviser to former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs), says a showdown with Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) is a realistic possibility for the end of 2014 or at some point in 2015.

Cotto was unable to meet Canelo on the March date, but Canelo has two other return dates already scheduled - July 26 and November 22. [Click Here To Read More]

They need to take Canelo v Molina/Angulo off PPV.

If Ortiz wins his fight next month set that up as PPV in the Summer and Cotto for December.

Ortiz vs Alvarez would be a hell of a fight.

King Cotto will dictate to Canelo when its time, not the other way around and he will comply like a good boy.

Cotto told GB, "shout your red kid, his asz whipping is coming!"

This is cottos plan, fight Sergio, and if he wins he has the MW title and if he loses he just made a ton of money and just go down to 154 and say MW was too much and fight canelo after
