That's his training, when he was under Arum he too was just like Pac. The only reason he got off was because Arum thought he was damage goods. He too was talk to my promoter etc. I remember how most fans use to scream for him to not renew his contract with Arum and then he would. Now he saw the benefit of being a free man.

Oh yes I have always respected Cotto I sometimes think he is a sore loser by storming outta the ring sometimes after loses but I chalk that up to his competitive nature and his disappointment in himself and his team when he loses. Sometime JMM is that way to but I respect the heck outta him as a competitor too.

Interesting, the man moving up in weight to challenge the real champion at 160 who aint some nobody either.... is the A-side lol.

However, unless sergio got very old over night, this fight is a mismatch. Martinez should stop him in the later rounds.

good point but I also remember Cotto openly saying after fights who he wants next during interviews he never seemed to hide behind his promoter like some fighters seem to do. I know they need the promoter too but I feel guys need to stand up for themselves and the direction in which they want there career and legacy to go. Even Floyd, who is his own man has started hollering that "who ever the promoter and haymon decide then that's who I will fight" nonsense like he has no say in the matter.

Arum eats more Pimp Slaps these days than Floyd Mayweather's babymommas. Cotto has power now that Goldenboy is there to set him up if Ho-Bob doesnt comply. Arum will go to the grave cursing Goldenboy, knowing it's not just his greedy old corpse and Manny's millions getting buried in that one way to Hell coffin-shuttle, but Top Rank itself as well.

There are only a few boxers whose name big enough to go it alone, and Cotto was one of them, he got out late but not too late. Now he can dictate his own career rather than having to listen to a promoter who has invest money in him and obviously wants a return of that money. Hatton, De la Hoya, Mayweather and Cotto were the sort of names that didn't need a promoter at a stage of their respective careers. I have nothing against promoters but am all for boxers making the best of their paid careers especially after the promoter had made more than 10 times his monies back, this is why it was frustrating when Cotto had his chance to leave Arum twice but didn't, thank God he left in the end and hopefully it isn't too late for Pacman.

In mega fights in Vegas, Cotto is 0-3.
