I don't think manny is scared at all. He didn't want to take advanced PED testing for reasons only he knows. I think as rational thinking adults being worried he'd test positive has to be considered a plausible reason for this decision, even though manny never tested positive.

I think he decided, with Bob, to fight in house guys for less money and attach himself to floyd. That strategy worked for a long time, until the JMM close win. Most people thought JMM won.

The next fight, the tim robbery, sold far less than expected. So Manny tried to get cotto in another CW, Cotto refused. SO manny had to fight JMM again, we know what happened there.

SO its not fear, its just elevated hubris, missplaced ego, and a business plan that was too focused on short term earnings. WHat do you expect from a 3rd grade dropout.
