Floyd is rich but one thing he can never buy is a legacy that includes beating a prime Manny Pacquiao. He can never buy that. Ever. #truth

No you thought he was the A side twice. Oscar made Floyd what he is and Floyd didn't want to do it again.

      Oh, enjoy your Khan fight

You're trying to use ppv buys to justify things that are of no benefit to us fans. I can care less if my favorite fighter does 3 buys or 3 mil buys. I'm a fan. Not his beneficiary. Once again, the most talked about best down of 2013 is going to be the one that chino dished out on broner. It was a good entertaining bout and did 0 ppv buys. That's my point.

Fat Dan speaks the truth. Manny is a guy that is generally liked and moved up in weight to take on challanges. His legacy will be that of a small warrior.
Once Floyd is done the first thing that will be brought up is that he never fought Pacquiao in his prime and he will be answering those questions the rest of his life. Realistically if they had the fight in 2010 and Floyd won no one could eve tell him **** about ducking or legacy.
Now even if the fight happens it will be a bigger negative than positive for Floyd.

I am not a big Dan Rafael fan. Some aspects about him I like, others I despise. But one thing you can't say about him is that he's a Floyd hater. He is a RIGO hater.

i'll start this by saying that pacquiao does have a better resume than mayweather, but i'd still pick mayweather to beat him at any weight in any fantasy matchup. his arms are too long, and he counters too well, especially with the right hand.

fanboys are not going to last that long. in 25 years floyd will be remembered first for how good his defense and technical ability was. i've never seen a fighter who was that sharp on defense. there aren't even all that many fighters whose defense comes close to mayweather. not fighting manny will be part of his legacy, but it won't cloud the fact that he's one of the best pure boxers of all time.

he loves bob arum, and throwing some mud on rigondeaux is what arum is looking for.

i've heard a ton of rumors about big time writers [and even not so big time writers,] taking some under the table money from promotors to write something that benefits the promotor. arum probably pays fat dan in porterhouse steaks.

So wait.....Pacquiao was prime in 2010-2011, and so was Floyd???

News to me. They need to fight though. Both are still two of the Top 3-4 fighters in the world.

I think Floyd can surpass him though in the end. Say Manny never gets another good or legit win, which is entirely possible if he only has Top Rank fighters left to fight. And say Floyd gets 3-4, maybe a couple more if he continues after the Showtime deal. It could be close.

But I agree with everything you said for sure.
