Comments Thread For: Naazim: Manny Pacquiao Would Beat Provodnikov Up

Veteran trainer Naazim Richardson believes eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao would beat up Ruslan Provodnikov in the same manner as he did to Brandon Rios last month in Macau.

Provodnikov, who is also trained by Pacquiao's coach, Freddie Roach, is one of the names being floated for Pacquiao's next fight on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

I agree. I've said it before he would. He wouldn't KO him, but he would win with ease.

You can only lose to Prov if you fight his fight, Pacquiao will fight his usual fight and win. Prov is nothing special but one has to be careful because he can punch. I just don't think he can catch Pac with a punch he can't see coming, like Marquez did, and which is the only way you can KO Pac. And Prov is certainly not going to decision Pac.

Maybe I am overstating myself when I say this would be like another Rios scrap but I think the end result would be no different.

I like Provodnokov. He's fought his way from the bottom, to ESPN and gone all the way to the big time. Why not give him this opportunity if it presented itself? I'd be rooting for a guy like him all the time.

I've heard plenty of people say Bradley can win more decisively in a rematch against Pacquiao but people don't want to hear it. I agree with Richardson here, this time Bradley isn't gonna win a close decision.

Don't know where people get off overrating Provodnikov the way they do, he has questionable stamina, fights in spurts, is easy to hit and cuts easily. I understand he can punch and can be aggressive but that alone isn't gonna allow him to compete with Pacquiao.

Yeah, I guess if Bradley DID win vs Pac, he'd haveta win more decisively... since he didn't win the last time. HA!

Prov beats anyone at 147 except Pacquiao

He looked much better in the Alvarado fight than in the Bradley fight and I scored that fight for Prov even with the missed knock downs
