There's no way to justify this fight really without stretching-out Amir's accolades very thin - or saying that there aren't any decent opponents for Floyd, which isnt really the true case I'd think that even with 2 good undercards this wont do more than 1.2-1.3mm buys.

No matter how Schaefer tries to sell this fight, it's still smelly smelly smelly. Guerrero was even better than this "proposed" fight due to the fact that his was a "mandatory" and actually beat two legitimate WW. I can see Amir giving Mayweather fits with his speed and decent power for the first couple of rounds, but he hasnt earned this fight at all.

Yes, Guerrero worked his way to the Mayweather fight. I didn't think he had a shot against Floyd, but it was because of Floyd's skills. In Kahn, he has not earned this or worked his way.

I'm streaming this and will not pay for it. I won't even chip in for this fight among friends. It's a horrible matchup.

Give me the matchup that will legitimately be the bigger risk and I will watch. Otherwise, it won't happen. I mean, if Mayweather can fight anyone and bring in the numbers then he should not need a b-side, right?

WRONG!!! At least in this case. If this match up happens, there needs to be a good undercard to support this fight, otherwise, it will tank compared to even Floyd-Guerrero and it would not get anywhere close to the Floyd-Canelo numbers even with a good undercard. So why mention PPV numbers? Because that's what the Floyd camp looks at, and that's a bust with this match up of Kahn as well.

**** Floyd and Schaefer. What's so appealing about this fight? Khan's speed is only effective against fighters who don't have good timing. It'll be easy for Floyd to catch him with left hooks and overhand rights. I'm even more furious that Showtime would give them the green light for this **** fight to get made.

A sell-job of Khan. Schaefer gets his paychecks signed by Junior, so what else is he going to say. Just a car salesman. They have had more than enough excuses for more than 5 years to not fight Pacquiao. When this stiff claims Mayweather may be the best of every generation, he should be drug tested. Floyd would never have climbed in the ring with Hagler, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Arguello or Pryor in the prime... never. Floyd lacks courage. He made Cotto and Mosley wait more than 10 years to fight, well past both their prime, and still to this day won't fight Pacquaio. Don't give us this crap how dominate Floyd has been hand picking safe routes to the bank for more than 17 years. Schaefer, you need to wipe your sh** off your nose.

all i keep hearing about is this guys ''speed'' blah blah blah, what has khan done IN THE RING to deserve this fight, the guy has NEVER been at 147 and his FIRST fight he gets to fight the p4p #1 fighter and get the payday other boxers have earned.

khan got knocked out in 30 seconds vs prescott, has yet to avenge that loss (meanwhile people keep telling broner to rematch maidana), he went to hell and back with peterson, barely beat julio diaz, was running for his life the last 4 rounds vs a version of maidana that isnt half of what he is today, his last decent win was 2011 vs judah (and judah loses to everybody so big deal)

khan is an overhyped bum, he has NEVER done nothing in the sport to warrant this fight, the only reason he is being mentioned is because of his big mouth, the guy simply doesnt shut up, even after being knocked out, the next day hes right back to calling out floyd like nothing ever happened, hes like a gnat you cant swat away.

if we're going to match floyd up with guys who supposedly have the ''style'' to beat him, then the person he should be facing is pacquiao, bottom line. if khan is ONLY getting this fight because he has ''speed'' then pacquiao should get it because he has speed, power, footwork, great chin, experience and is an 8x world champion, but nooo floyd wants to be a big vagina about facing pacquiao.

since floyd wont fight pacman, and garcia has said hes not ready for floyd, the only other guy whos EARNED it is maidana. maidana is slow compared to floyd, but he has the power to keep floyd cautious, has the chin that mayweather will not hurt, and has the style thats needed to give floyd a good fight, aggressive and mauling, like cotto, hatton, castillo and at times even oscar did it. floyd is vulnerable when guys jump on him giving him no time to think, maidana fits that.

if mayweather vs khan does happen, the only way they can sell this trash fight is by hosting it in the UK and having a stacked undercard.

people laughed at pacquiao for selecting rios, but pacman was coming off a KO loss and needed a tune up. khan is a tune up fight for floyd when he doesnt need one.

I agree with Schaefer that styles make fights, however I also feel that Khan has not done enough to earn a shot at Floyd right now compared to others in the division. To me the only thing Khan brings to the table is a fanbase. Regardless of Khan's speed and all the things Virgil Hunter has been working with him on improving, once he gets hit solid he will revert back to his old self. I think the fight may be more competitive than most think, however I believe Floyd will win.
What I find funny is that people get behind an opponent they think can KO Floyd, but the opponent is too slow and/or really not skilled enough to beat him (Canelo). They are starting to do the same with Maidana. But people can't get behind an a opponent in Khan that has speed, yet the same folks felt Judah's speed gave Floyd fits. SMH
