I'd like to see Maidana get a nice payday in his next outing, and that isn't gonna happen against Porter.

I do like Porter though. He fought a great fight against Alexander.

I wonder if Porter knows that he can just vacate the belt if he doesn't want it. He doesn't have to get knocked out just to get rid of it. I think that maybe they are looking at Alexander beat Maindana and a Shawn beat Alexander. If so I think they should reaccess that whole line of reasoning. Lamont Peterson called out Lucas Mattysee and we see how that turned out for him.

This is not an easy pick fight. Both have weaknesses that could play into each other and their strengths are easy to see. Porter has clearly improved and has fast feet, unlike Broner and that would make him harder to catch. But when he leaps in the times he does, he could get caught. Maidana has that power but will Porter stick around long enough for the receipt as they say. Porter should move in and out, side to side and not leap in. Maidana should try to time Porters movement and counter and apply pressure. I like both guys.....both have grown on me over time. 50/50 fight in my mind.

Porter's team is asking for the right fight...whether he gets it or not is another story....Chino need to cash in on that Broner beating....Porter is solid and would probably out hustle Chino imo...so I can see why Team Porter is licking their chops....but Showtime is small time, Chino earned the right to get some big time bread imo

Porter should fight Thurman if neither gets Chino next.....I still hope Broner rematches Chino....immediately!!!...gotta get back at Chino, can't let a dude beat you like THAT and cash in off your scalp....nah, **** that.....press restart on that fight and whatever happen...it happens!!...**** it, go for it!!

Iv'e got a feeling that Mayweather actually want's the Maidana fight. He was on some "go back to 140" with Broner, instead of encouraging him to take a rematch that he could definitely win. Just a hunch. Call me crazy but either May surprises us with a change of plans for May, or he waits out the May date and granted he wins, sign to fight Chino on his Sept date. So i won't be surprised if Maidana doesn't sign to fight anyone till after May.
