It just goes to show: Mayweather has been able to move the goal posts so much in his own favour he is the only person who can make the announcement. This doesn't even have anything to directly to do with the fight, it happens after the contract is signed.

Can you imagine how much influence Mayweather had on the actual negotiations that directly pertain to the fight? I think now we know for certain why the fight hasn't happened yet.

According to Roach, Pac felt giving blood too close to the date might weaken him. The consensus seems to be the date difference wouldn't have made a difference if someone was cheating or trying to cycle-down. End of the day, he conceded, then Floyd went on vacation or retired or whatever.

Forget about it until February 24 - Floyd's birthday - the day he announces the fight. Relax. Do other stuff. Come February 24, the fight will be announced. Guaranteed.
