Maybe the same reason he wore the Mexican colors with a sombrero during his ring walk to fight DLH. Maybe he really did know that Manny would be there tonight and wanted to show respect. Maybe he's trying to reach out to the Filipino fans even though he should know by now that they probably hate his guts no matter what he does.

I don't see what the big deal is if he gave Manny his phone number. He might actually convince Manny to force Arum's hands and take control of his own career, which is something that even Pacquiao fans and some people in his camp want him to do. Even if it's a done deal, i don't think Manny would spill the beans before Floyd does.
