Well Manny was still under contract with Top Rank at the time. There was no way in hell Bob Arum was going to accept that fight for a flat 40 mil and no ppv cut. That deal was a cop out.

He said in the article he has his team working on that and probably would have to pay any money and if has to i'm sure he has the money and hes set for life also.
