Floyd fans have very low standards. They use the word "legit" just because the guy beats up Broner, who at WW was being out-boxed by Paulie and now lost to Maidana. Hmmmm, where have we seen this before:
      (Ortiz, Guerrero, ...... with Berto)
(Marquez, ...... with No WW fights)
      (Hatton, ...... with Collazo)
      and so on

Yet, they always find a way to make excuse to fight true "legit" fighters that called out Floyd in the past (Martinez, Williams, Manny, ....)

Rios is at the same level as Maidana, he would have likely beaten this version of Broner in a similar fashion. But Broner, with natural ability and if he's capable of listening to and acting upon training advice he has a good chance of improving and becoming a top tier fighter one day.

If he fought Rios or Maidana a couple of years down the line he probably beats them both but he needed an official loss to highlight the fact that he needs to improve. He has lost before a number of times in my opinion but he got away with the decision so that didn't really help him focus on improving his skills so those gift wins could have ironically worked against him.

dont think so .. pac looks good fighting guys that come at him , with floyd ,it's exactly the opposite...he might beat him but would not look good as pac would...it's a matter of styles imo...

Maidana actually has a legitimately good resume.

              Kotelnik*(robbed)
              Ortiz
              Broner
              Lopez
              Karass
              Morales

              Rios not so much.

              Alvarado
              Antillon?(not that good)
              Acosta
              A. Peterson

There's also the weight variable. Maidana has 6 fights at 147 going 5-1, while Rios debuted at WW against Pacquiao, after a loss at JWW, where he is also mediocre.

You need to stop. You do not know what you are talking about. Maidana is a different beast than Rios. He's in shape and belongs at 147 because he's actually a beast, he trains hard and gives 110% in every fight. Rios is at 140-147 because he doesn't train hard enough to be at 135. He has too much flab to be called even a legit JWW, he's like Juan Diaz.

I agree with you, although beating jesus soto karass and josesito lopez doesn't mean much... lol. they are both gatekeepers, sorry.
