    IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Lamont Peterson and Anthony Peterson Top Rank Lightweight Contender, in conjunction with the “N.E.E.D Foundation”, will host a holiday party for seven homeless families from the DC General Shelter. The event will take place today from 4-6 pm at the Bald Eagle Recreation Center located at 100 Joliet Street, S.E. There will be more than 40 children attending the event with their parents and each child will receive a number of gifts taken from their own personal wish lists. In addition, all parents will be provided with a $50 gift card. Parents and children will be treated to a catered holiday dinner as well.

      I'm looking forward to seeing Lamont successfully defend his title against unbeaten Canadian Dierry Jean at the DC Armory on January 25th.

          They were homeless at one point, right? I imagine this is something close to them.

              Waitaminute here, Now while I usually wouldn't be critical of helping the needy, why throw them a party? Why not get these people an apartment or something useful?

                Because they are not the federal government or a welfare office. There is nothing to criticize here. They helped in a way that most people don't.

                  Agreed. I don't think BoJ knows how high the rent is in DC, even in SE its sky high.
