It's funny, I looked back on the comments after Pacquiao v Marquez III.

The fight was a MONSTER financial success, no matter what angle you look at it from.

I predicted it would do 1.3-1.5 mil buys, and as always, ThePrince was right. Also predicted there would be a lot of butthurt, and as you can see from some in this thread...

100 million points to anyone with photoshop skills who can put Manny's head on Simba and add the title 'The PPV King' on this pic:

How exactly is Floyd the biggest draw in boxing? Because he was the B-side on a DLH PPV back in 2007?

Floyd used to be PPV King until the real PPV King surfaced. PPVs aside, history will look back and identify Pacquiao as the guy who single-handedly carried boxing out of the grave.

It's about to be 2015 and unless floyd fights manny or cotto... his sales are going to drop... It also seems like Pac might get better sales in 2015... He gots more options... Garcia, Maidana, Canelo...

Two of those fighters are with Haymon. And Canelo won't fight Manny at a catch weight

Not once did i look up at a picture and go ..."man, i wonder how much money he made". Truth is. I dont care. What i do care about is the fights he fought, how he fought and who he fought. There are so much emphasis put on numbers by certain fighter and fans. In years to come....nobody will even care or think about it. A real fighter will need more than numbers to cement a legacy in the minds and hearts of boxing fans for years to come.
pacboy are you 100% sure you have never talked **** about mayweathers pvp numbers flopping or not? I mean if i can dig up just one post this whole thread goes to **** you do know that right?

As I stated, the only people who say that PPV numbers don't matter are Pac worshippers and the only they say that is when Pac has a PPV bomb!!!!!1 They meant a hell of a lot to you when you were criticizing Mayweather's numbers and (falsely) claiming that Showtime was losing money on him. Now they mean nothing.

Losing meant nothing when Pac lost to Bradley. Getting KTFO meant nothing when Pac got KTFO by Marquez. The opponent meant nothing when Pac signed to fight Algieri. Now, PPVs mean nothing when Pac bombs on PPV.

Just who the hell do you Pac worshippers think you are kidding? With ****** posts like this, you are admitting in your own subtle way that Mayweather is superior to Pacquaio in every possible category!

Still the possibilities are there... Arum won't work with haymon and vice versa supposedly... but both will work with Oscar... And Canelos team say they want the fight... Regardless, it looks like the tides might be changing...
