Well ok, what are the best fights? I'm pretty sure everyone can agree. It's when the the Best fight the Best.

If they're not showcasing the best fighters, then they should drop that label.

Rigo isn't fighting the best fights though. He fought one good fighter.

I call Bullshit on HBO for this one.

Righteous got it right.

HBO's responsibility as the top class boxing broadcaster should be to showcase the proven BEST fighting against the BEST, period.

I three armed fighter, doing backflips into the ring is entertaining as fuq, but if he sucks as a fighter than he should have no place on a what is always pushed to me as the respectable boxing broadcaster.

If they want to peddle this "entertainment only" bullshit, then stop telling me that you showcase the best fighters.

Jaguares got it right. Rigo was knocking everybody down and out. No one was calling Rigo boring until he shut down Donaire.

Shame on some of you posters. The things you say "Rigo needs to be punished", wtf?

Are you kidding me? If HBO was your company, would you keep El Chacal on your Network even thought you are losing MONEY and VIEWERSHIP when he on.

I saw the rating, people turned off the boxing match in droves...You are willing to waste time, energy and money AND VIEWERS because El Chacal is a great boxer...get the f outta here.

He needs to be punished because he doesn't care to entertain...this isn't HBO fault, they are not in the ring fighting.

That your opinion...here are facts that you can look up:


Money does PPV numbers in the million, people turn off El chacel boxing match in droves...don't believe me, check HBO hourly viewership from the Mandingo-Jersey Boy match to his fight three weeks ago.

And don't use he doesn't know English....neither does Canelo but he trying to learn in order to be a star in the US...why can't El Chacel learn English? because he lazy and want to fight in a technically lazy fashion and wants to blame HBO when his viewership drops.

King is not signed to Golden Boy, they have a one fight option on him.

The only way Rigo becomes a star is to continue to win. But time is not on his side. He has had the exposure in the undercards of ppv events and ppl do remember the stinkers that he has put out.

For HBO it is a business and they are not going to lose money just to be loyal. Rigo has the goods but his style does not sell. Rigo has no charisma, his fights are slow paced and he doesn't have a decent following.

It really is a shame. Rigo is a master of the sport and appears to be unbeatable as well as among the best in the world. I think he should have been promoted better. All I know is, I will continue to watch him.
