I said it before the first and I'll say it again Jhonny is a dangerous man. I think he KOs Mares again.

The punch Gonzalez landed on Mares wasn't luck at all. In fact, Maidana landed a similar left hook on Broner that put him down. Mares gets stopped again. He's never been a defensive wizard & gets hit often. He's a good action fighter but that'll be his undoing in this fight. At some point in the fight he's going to get nailed with something big from Gonzalez.

Mares might very well avoid a big punch and do what he was expected to do the first time around. Then again, Gonzalez might've gotten in Abner's head. Either way, I'm looking forward to knowing the answers.
The reason is, people simply forgot about him and what he brings to the table in terms of the fight. I can see another Gonzalez KO, but am hoping to see Mares make the proper adjustment. Will be great for as long as it lasts. I think Mares can stop Jhonny as well. Vazquez did.

Ive noticed mares can adapt...he pressures when he shoyld or boxes when he shoyld like against ponce de leon...but i think gonzalez is jyst too strong for him and im sure hes going to train even hardet to prove it was no luck

Mares needs to request VADA, Gonzalez is working with Memo Heredia.

Pac didnt have to rematch Marquez for the 4th time. Mares got white washed in one round is there really a need for a rematch. Gonzalez seems like a stand up guy.

This may end up best fight of '14... if Mares comes out and does well for a few rounds. Gonzales though should eventually connected with one of his patented G-Bombs... then it's off to sleepyland for Mares... AGAIN. HA

So a first round ko where 1 punch ended the fight was more conclusive and less deserving of a rematch than two guys who have fought 42 rounds ??

Keep in mind that mares was the champ and had a rematch clause on top of the fact that nothing really happened in that round other than two great shots landed by Gonzales.
