Wow the Pac Nuthuggers and Floyd haters are out in full force today!

Both these MFers coulda made the fight happen back when everyone actually cared. They're both primodanas that don't want to share their star power with someone else just as big. Fights never happening. I realized that 3 years ago.

It was just this week that Arum said he would go to the Philippines to meet with Pacquiao and present him with the names of four possible opponents for May or June: Miguel Cotto, Marquez, Lamont Peterson and Timothy Bradley Jr.

Arum figured Mayweather would be in jail and off the table. Now that Mayweather is available and seemingly would like to make the match, Arum suddenly isn't interested.

He used the lame excuse of the cut Pacquiao suffered against Marquez, saying he might not be ready for May. (I've never heard of a cut taking more than six months to heal.) However, earlier this week, when Arum thought Mayweather would be on ice behind bars, he said there was a good possibility Pacquiao would fight in May.

Moments after Mayweather was granted the continuance, Arum changed his tune.

"We're fighting in June, one of the four guys," Arum told me over the phone.

I asked him, now that Mayweather was available, would he at least be part of the conversation when Arum meets with Pacquiao next week?

A perturbed Arum's response was, "Absolutely not. Nope."

Come again? You won't even talk about it with Pacquiao, I asked very politely.

"My mission is to go over to the Philippines and talk about these four guys," Arum said. "If Manny feels he wants to go in May, he will tell me. I want to make sure Manny's cuts are healed. We won't fall under this kind of pressure. June is much more likely for Manny's fight, not May."

So May was a real possibility yesterday, but now there's no way?

"What if they fought and Manny started bleeding on the first punch?" a clearly flustered Arum said. "I don't know if Manny is available to fight in May. I have no idea. I haven't talked to him; I haven't seen him. Seems to me, June is more likely based on what his plastic surgeon said."

Arum threw out another "reason" (or excuse, as far as I'm concerned) not to try to make Pacquiao-Mayweather for May 5.

"I don't even know if Mayweather will be licensed [by the Nevada State Athletic Commission] before he serves his time," Arum said.

          Need another article?

The answer is two words. Bob Arum. Arum said that Pacquiao could fight in either May or June, depending on various factors, but upon hearing of Floyd's continuation of his sentence, backtracked and said that Manny needed more time to heal from his cuts sustained two months ago in November in the fight against Marquez.

When this excuse, and that's what it is, an excuse, was attacked and deemed to be illegitimate, Arum fired back by saying that the 40,000 person stadium that would need to be built for the fight to be staged outdoors in Vegas can't be completed until the end of May. This whole thing is just becoming really really frustrating and is really killing the sport.

But yeah your right it was some conspiracy.....

Floyd hates him so much, yet takes pictures with him and thanks him at reward ceremonies? Ok.

So Mayweather accused Pacquaio of taking steroids, tried to ruin his career multimillion dollar career, so can Manny then say he refuses to ever work with Floyd and his team, because of what they said and did? Think about that for a bit and realize how ****** you sound.
Still didn't answer question. Is stealing one's money a serious reason?

Bob admitted to stealing it. He just didn't know how much.

See, you justified Manny's unwillingness to sign for 50/50 (never heard of ped tests) or $40 mil (no ppv) yet when floyd says he won't work with Bob you say its for no serious reason. Uhh why can't you understand all of the sudden?

Manny can say whatever he wants. When he did say that was a reason for not signing you agreed with him.

you can make a delusional case that manny turned down the first fight but there is no doubt in my mind the last couple round of negotiations failing are on floyd.

Pacquiao even went to first take and blatantly told stephen a smith the conversation he and floyd had. Floyd told pacquiao if he lost he still has money coming in as a congressman, floyd said if he lost that's it for him because he only has boxing.

                    There is video of this.

Just like there is video of floyd talking self preservation and wanting 100% of the revenue and not being able to afford to give manny a % of the ppv.
