So the reasons are 1. Bob Arum and 2. Show me the PPV where he does more than me... Uh show us AMIR KHAN'S PPV NUMBERS??? oh snap #2 excuse doesn't hold water either?? I kind of like it this way because when Mayweather leaves... He will always be known as THE GUY THAT WAS TOO SCARED TO FIGHT PACQUIAO or THE GUY THAT WOULD'VE GOT KNOCKED OUT BY PACQUIAO instead of "the best"... leaving Pacquiao as THE MOST EXCITING, OFFENSIVE BOXER OF HIS ERA, WHO WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WOULD'VE KNOCKED OUT MAYWEATHER

Floyd is the A-side at this point homie. We can pretend he's not. But that's ignoring facts. So if Pac is the one that truly wants the fight, he needs to do what he has to do to play ball. Much like when Arum had Donaire, the A-side, and offered GBP a step aside fee because he didn't wanna co+promote the fight with them. Was that a duck on Donaire's part?Hold up. You're asking why Pac needs Arum, but um, why does Floyd need GBP?
Doesn't really matter. If you really want to fight a guy, it doesn't matter who his promoter is. You make the deal, and fight the guy. Show me every time in history where one fighter refused to fight another guy because of his promoter.
As for "when has a fighter refused to fight another bassed on a promoter?" Where the hell have you been the last 20+ years? How many fights have failed to be made because fighters an exclusive contracts with HBO and Showtime, which are basically promoters in their own right? How many fights are being made right now because of the GBP-TR beef? Hell, in the welterweight division alone you have Floyd, Garcia, Broner, Matthysse, Thurman, Alexander, and God knows who else. For TR, you have Pac, JMM, Bradley, Provodnikov and whoever else. Look at the endless number of match-ps being missed there because of promotional beefs. Its not just a Floyd-Manny thing. Why is it that fans accept that all these other match-ups are gonna happen because of promotional beefs? But when it comes to Floyd-Manny, its has to be ones ducking or scared of the other. Its ******.Comment

I don't know why people are slating Mayweather for not wanting to do business with Arum; he is a man that still owes him money, a man that tarnished his name in the papers, an untrustworthy man, a man he more than likely blames for the defamation lawsuit against him and a man he most definitely dislikes. I understand that for a fight fan it is aggravating, because we are looking at it from the point of view of a customer, but for the fighter they have to treat like they're running a business and if you're trying to run a business you don't parley with people like Arum.Comment

This is hilarious nobody would avoid that payday. This is just ******I honestly think most fighters from 140-147 still doesn't want it with Manny. Even if Manny was independent, how many fighters, under the advised Haymon would sign up??
These young fighters still get star struck and even when Pac shows cracks in his game, theyknow hhe's still dangerous.
For Manny to get those big fights in the future, seems like he can at least be independent and be advised by Haymon. with Haymon if he puts up one of his fighters that can actually be had, he'll make sure it's to another fighter he has..Comment

Also.. isn't Mayweather the one that ALWAYS cries about Pacquiao using Mayweather's name to promote fights... WASN'T IT MAYWEATHER THAT SAID "PACQUIAO YOU'RE NEXT" when promoting the Ortiz fight?? If all along he knew he would never fight Pacquiao? At least when Pacquiao speaks it's the truth.. All Mayweather does is lie and BS all the way around.. "take the test" OK uhhhh "no 50/50 split" OK uhhhh "bounce back from your losses" OK uhhhh "i'll never fight you because of your promoter. good day"So the reasons are 1. Bob Arum and 2.
