I think when posting a fighter "struggles" or "has problems" with a certain style/skillset the examples should support that. I don't know if they do in floyd's case.

Because what I said makes sense. Pure righties who don't have a decent left hand can't get to Floyd as easy when he uses the shoulder roll. Righties can still be effective if they are taller than Floyd or can throw a downward looping punch like Maidana was doing to Broner but you saw that Maidana still had an effective left hand.

BUT southpaws can break down Floyd's defense easier. So yes, it can be a problem IF THE RIGHT FIGHTER IS DOING IT!

Zab could have been the guy to do it because he was a southpaw, had speed and power. This was proved by the knockdown and some other effective shots that got threw BUT it wasn't enough, I agree. The reason was that Zab is a very inconsistent fighter that can't fight a FULL effective 12 rounds. Being that the fight was at WW, made it even worse for Zab. Proof of that is by looking at Zab's bad record at WW.

If Zab was better suited for WW and had the stamina and work-rate of someone like P. Williams, Margarito, ... then that fight would have been very interesting for 12 rounds not 5 rounds.

You are regurgitating a theory you saw from another poster and are running with it because It sounds good to you. Then you throw in nmes of guys who didn't fight floyd because you think that makes the theory applicable. There is nothing you've seen in any floyd fight that suggests this theory would apply.

WHile the theory is a good one, you fail to mention the toll the counterpunching takes on the opponent and the toll throwing and missng takes. To use broner maidana as an example of what could happen in a floyd fight is silly but I get the point you are making.

My guess is if quintana/santos found ways to deal with them that floyd had a good chance of doing same.

people misunderstood floyd when he said "take the test" a few years ago. what he really meant with that was he was testing if pac has the guts to leave arum to fight him. it never was about random drug testing

He signed the contract so whether he wanted to work with him or not, he submitted his signature. Arum backed out of it because Pacquiao scared of needles supposedly.. Pacquiao didn't signed, Bob decided him to fight clottey in March, Mayweather decided to fight Mosley in May.
