  • Comments Thread For: Broner: That Was a Minor Setback For a Major Comeback!

Former three division world champion Adrien Broner (27-1, 22 KOs) issued an apology to the fans for storming out of the ring after it was officially announced that all three of the official judges scored the fight for Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31 KOs) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Broner is now looking to secure a rematch in order to reclaim the WBA welterweight crown that he lost. Broner's post-fight antics angered the local fans, who pelted him with various objects for bolting out of the ring without a post-fight interview.

He apologized for leaving. He's taking baby steps back to reality. Good for him.

I guess a ass whooping in the boxing ring is the same as one in the streets.

That **** will set a ninja straight real quick.

If Broner doesn't seriously change his ways, and that includes both attitude and maturity, he won't see any changes inside the ring. He can be better than what he was on Saturday night but I still do not believe he belongs or will belong at the elite/great level like he thinks.

that's right, hit the gym work on your fight game and come back strong. after watching that fight again I think he can have some success if he dosent get hurt so early. he was def in the fight in the middle rounds, till of course when he got hurt again haha. but with the right game plan it could be another great fight

All those people saying "he needs to change his ways" 1) are never ever going to like him, 2) will always root for him to fail, 3) will pay to watch him every single time like they do with Floyd, and most importantly 4) completely validate the cartoonish, highly charismatic persona he's taken on that has made him so popular.

He should not change a damn thing other than his training and learning how to deal with pressure fighters more effectively.

I'll give him mad respect if he really chases a Chino rematch. I doubt it though!
