Which is the more impressive victory?
Eric Morales defeating Pacquiao in 2005, or Marquez KO'ing Pacquiao in 2012

I actually picked near past his prime Morales winning via Unanimous Decision over Pacquiao. He actually schooled a 27 yrs.old Manny. It sucks that he was beaten by Zahir Raheem in his next fight. No to take anything away from JMM, but he was losing the fight before that impressive Knock out from hell. And some guys were saying that he was using Peds against Pacman. -
I think it's a tougher question than expected at first glance, but I'd go with Morales beating Pac in 2005.Comment

Good question. Both victories were impressive in their own right, but I'm leaning with Marquez. After 3 previous fights of never putting Manny down, that knockout was brutal and totally unexpected. I'm sure there were plenty of people that predicted Morales would outbox a very wild Manny back then (Morales may have even been favored in that fight...anybody know?), but how many besides Hectari (lol) could have predicted a 39 year old Marquez to do something so spectacular?Comment

It was his last great performance that resulted in a win. To me, his showing against Maidana was his last great fight.
To answer the question, I think Morales takes this even if Marquez had the "earth shattering" knockout.Comment
