Manny has never fought a top 10 fighter above 147, so I can't know for sure. I'd say if he weight drains Sturm by like 4-5lbs, he could pull it off maybe.

if he stinks it out, its possible....in, flurry, out....Sturm's workrate is usually poor...Clottey got to Pac sometimes, but Pac was trying too hard....if he wasnt concerned about landing hurtful punches, he could pretty much outwork him and not be there for the return fire...

I like a poster before me said, it would probably be somewhat similar to the Clottey fight. Sturm, just like Clottey, has a tight guard and sharp straight punches. Clottey couldn't miss Pacquiao when he actually threw punches, he just couldn't hurt Pacquiao at all, and was vastly outworked.

I would pick Sturm to stop Pac because

          1) the size difference would be way too big. Sturm is an average/slightly above average sized middleweight; Pac can barely buff up to the full welterweight limit.

          2) Sturm is used to taking middleweight shots, so he wouldn't be as afraid of Pac's shots as Clottey was. He also has proven middleweight power - he is not a hard puncher by any means, but he can crack.

          3) Sturm has a better jab than Clottey.

(Btw I have recently watched some Sturm interviews, and he is a swell guy. Fluent in three languages.)
