Totally agree. Arum is not being honest. A million buys is possible for Cotto canelo minus NY taxes. Does Arum think he can generate a bigger live gate in NY? What at MetLife? Cotto canelo would approach 17 mil at the gate. Arum knows Damm well they will sell 5 dollar tickets to such a big venue. The numbers don't add up. He has zero credibility to me right now when it comes to his PPV projections. The last two big shows he did bombed. Cotto will draw a nice crowd, and make about 6 million. Against canelo, with upside? He could be looking at 20 million. Canelo is coming off a loss and it's not exactly a bigger draw then Miguel. In the ring, Martinez makes more sense, bank account wise, it's canelo by a mile

It's easy to say that when your not getting paid. This is prize fighting. "Prize" fighting. Maximum value not glory is the priority. But I do agree with you, totally would prefer Martinez/Cotto, they are both exciting and have a huge beef. Man, the winner of that fight would be in a nice postion.Comment

Why are all these b itches crying about cotto fighting martinez? Im damn sure that there will be 100x the fireworks in their fight than there was for flaoid vs canelo. Do you guys seriously think that cotto would choose canelo after that bullspit he pulled during the gayweather fight, leaving a bad taste in the publics mouth?Comment

Cotto/Canelo =1.5 million, Cotto/Martinez=600,000ppvs or less
Arum= Stadium for Floyd vs Pac. $13,000,000 offer to Cotto to fight Pac. Cotto denies being offered that by Arum. Arum says Pac will NEVER fight in US again. Next Pac fight in Las Vegas. Arum, "Yesterday I lied, today i'm telling the truth". NEED I SAY MORE. Cotto vs Canelo or Martinez will be an exciting fight either way.Comment

To give me some leeway, let say it tops at 600k like you said at $60 per buy (lets ignore the extra $10 HD). That's $36M in revenue. HBO gets 10%. That's $32.4M left. Other 50% for cable/satellite, and thats' 16.2M left from PPV revenue. Gate will be $3M and the cost to rent MSG is $500K, so lets add $2.5M to $16.2M. That's $18.7M. Lets add 1 million for rebroadcast fee, international revenue, and sponsorships. That's 19.7M. Lets subtract 500K for the undercard and 1.2M for advertising/other expenses. That's $18M left over. Martinez gets 5 million and what he pays Dibella is his problem. Thats $13M left over for Arum, Cotto, and NY taxes. Assuming Arum gets 20% and 7.5% for taxes, that's approximately 10M for Cotto without having to pay Martinez $5K.
Am I off somewhere? Surely, I am. But more or less 10M for cotto doesn't sound outrages to me.Comment

I have to disagree with his projected live gate, and renting MSG is sctualky more expensive then that, that tax rate is also slightly off. the fight would do what rios/PAC PPV wise. Chances are arum will be to cheap to put together a decent undercard. That will affect the bottom line.Comment

Lmaol ur still at it again with your jealousy towards mexicans? And yeah canelo doesnt sell that it sold more than cotto vs pbf lmaol. About 90 percent of the people that filled up the building were mexicans cotto vs pbf not really. Remember when canelo wasnt on pbf undercard how it didnt do so good? But Canelo filled up in texas? Remember how canelo draws huge ratings but then again nobody knows who he is i wonder what would happen if they knew lol
prboxingcotto thats for you puta....
