This fight won't be half as successful in the uk as the mayweather/hatton fight was. Mayweather/hatton became the first and still the only fight in the uk to do over a million ppv (1.2million) buys. In the build up to mayweather/hatton fight a lot of people in the uk truly believed that hatton would win, wih khan hardly anyone thinks he can be competive never mind actually win

OK, again you make some good points but I think it is less about race and class and more about attitude / posturing / self promotion.

Generally the British prefer an underdog, or at least a degree of humility when supporting their fighters. It is hardly racially motivated as Nigel Benn and Frank Bruno were massively popular and loved by fans.

Yup, Garcia/Mattysse could have easily been thee single most anticipated fight of the year. And it was an atrocity to have that fight as an undercard.

Khan has a very solid fanbase and it should do around 1.2-1.3 Million which is close to a Million more than Pac did against Rios

Eh, I highy doubt that it would do even close to that, I'd be more inclined to think of the Guerrero fight.

Pessimistically I'd say 750,000 buys.. Optimistically 900,000!
