And since it will be an all time epic, it's not a hard sell.
Mismatches usually are, why would this be different.

I'm really hoping this PPV fails miserably. Floyd doesn't deserve the payday for fighting a nobody and Khan doesn't deserve the payday for having done absolutely nothing except proven hes got a glass chin.

Khan is a celebrity only and 95% of these much talked about twitter followers don't care/know when or who he last fought, or when and who he will next fight.

They probably just want to see some wedding pictures of his beautiful wife they've seen in OK! Magazine
This is so true. Khan followers are some of the absolute worse. They're so uninformed, don't know a lick about boxing, and always want to comment rude and off the wall assumptions. A couple of months ago I saw someone say Khan would beat Sergio! I didn't even bother explaining anything, I just gave up at that point.

          But...

Most of the boxing fans I know (and yes, some do live on a Council Estate) feel Khan is highly overrated and too much of a self publicist.

Many successful boxers are raised on Council Estate's in poverty -are you saying that they are all 'underclass scum'?

I didn't know that you had to be a) Educated, b) 'higher class and c) white to hold an opinion on a boxer's ability either...
          Read my post again

Didn't say all council estate dwellers are scum.... just the racist ones who form opinions on the colour of skin than concentrating on the boxing. Khan wear Union Jack all the time and does alot for charity but uneducated scumbags don't care at all.

Who the f** said the scumbags can't hav an opinion?????...I said the educated upperclass whites appreciate his boxing ability. They see past his ethnicity.

Truth is Khan bashing makes the rednecks feel good about their ****ty lives and the last time i checked Khan was making alot of money inside and out of the ring so there must be an element of jelousy.

If he was white he'd be a superstar and you know it.

This isn't a mismatch, maybe talent wise it is, but Floyd doesn't excel in anything that Khan struggles with.

OK, again you make some good points but I think it is less about race and class and more about attitude / posturing / self promotion.

Generally the British prefer an underdog, or at least a degree of humility when supporting their fighters. It is hardly racially motivated as Nigel Benn and Frank Bruno were massively popular and loved by fans.

Btw - Khan wore the colors of Pakistan in his last fight...

It is a huge mismatch khan will be 10-1 or longer.

Floyd will have to put Oprah on the undercard to do 1.3m+

Utter ****t coming out of his mouth. When Calzaghe brought out a Welsh or Sardinian flag or Meixcan Americans bring out a Mexican flag there is no problem. Nothing wrong with honoring your heritage. Khan also brought out the UK flag and blazened the Union Jack on his shorts.

And Nigel Benn was apprecaited during his time? Are you ****** or a just a typical Eurotard racist? Benn was hardly appreciated during his prime

Even now during the Olympics Mo Farrah wins the gold only to have the highlights be what some white Brit like Nate Cleverly did.

I'm not white or British, but I will speak the truth.

I also find it ironic that the Arabs, Pakis Chinese Poles etc that are considered poor and criminal in Europe are ironically the most educated and richest ethnic groups here in the US.

The UK is a joke. You people have no humility. Stop blaming people and take some responsibility. Whether it's abou the white people scrumming off council estates or your immigration laws

Fans will buy it because it's Mayweather on the billing, i just hope the under-card is good. Throw Maidana vs. Thurman as the co-main.

it will be 700-800k and showtime will still lose money. Khan is not much of a treat to lure fans to buy this ppv. Most of Fraud's ppv numbers rack up because they want to see him LOSE and not to be entertained.
