    IBF super featherweight champion Argenis Mendez (21-2-1, 11KOs) is working hard at the Iron Mike Productions Gym in Deerfield, Florida. On January 3rd at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Mendez will make a mandatory defense of his championship against mandatory challenger Rances Barthelemy (19-0, 12KOs). Their showdown will be televised as the season opening main event attraction for ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

        WoW, Mendez looks strong. If he wins this fight, I would most definitely want to see him fight Mickey Garcia.

          I think Argenis Mendez wins this one easy, so yea, Mickey Garcia after this would be very interesting. Either that or Gamboa.

            I wouldn't say this is easy, Rances Barthelemy is a Cuban boxer so although I do believe Mendez wins, it won't be an easy task. But Garcia Mendez would be more interesting.

                Remember Barthelemy UD'd Usmanee while Mendez took him to a Draw. Don't under estimate Barthelemy. Mendez still wins but it will be a tough fight for him.

                  That's the BS I'm talking about... Mendez beat Usmanee with pure boxing! The judges gifted Usmanee with a "W", but he didn't deserve it.

                    You maybe right there. I saw that fight being pretty close. But I also think Mendez beat Usmanee.
