what the hell adrien broner done in the sport of boxing?

This guy has done absolutely nothing significant in the sport. Look at his very weak resume. Who has he beat? Future HOF fighter demarco, rees, and paulie and lets not forget his almost losses to ponce and quintero

He was over protected and it cost him. There were plenty of fights at the lower weights that he missed that could of put him through adversity, make him think, make him learn how to adjust and make him tougher.

At 130 he missed Uchiyama, Argenis Mendez and Juan Carlos Salgado

At 135 he missed Richar Abril, Miguel Vazquez, Ricky Burns and potentially Gamboa

He skipped the entire 140 pound division

Then he took a decent fight against Paulie at 147 before entering his first real challenge. Playing hop scotch and collecting paper titles doesn't help you in the long run.

But HBO and Showtime were claiming he's "the future of the sport."

        Isn't that enough?

Adrien Broner never got the hype and backing from fans like Matthysse did. So this counter-thread makes no sense. You could say he got backing from the media and like 9-10 fans, and WSHH. But as far as real boxing fans, he never got the approval. In fact months ago I said Adrien Broner is just another Jeff Lacy.

I'm a huge fan of defensive, slick boxing, and I always rejected Broner's style as a fake. Ever since the Rees fight, I saw how fake it was. He's an all out offensive fighter with no D, no counterpunching ability, no footwork, no head movement. He is complete trash as a boxer, but an okay fighter. He could definitely fight, and he needs to sharpen his fighting skills, forget about boxing because that is a lost cause. He's gonna have to hire Robert Garcia or Freddie Roach, they are offensive trainers that better suit fighter types. Broner needs to stay away from Mayweather Sr, Hunter or any trainer that better suits boxers because he will just get knocked out under them, he's a phony boxer, but okay as a fighter.
