The scope of our work was to 1) represent him on 4 years of audits that other accountants had prepared,2) organize his accounting and get the thousands of documents accumulated in boxes into some type of system, 3) to review all bout countracts under his co-promotion agreement with his promoter Top Rank and to find earnings not paid to the boxer, and other projects assigned to us by the client. Our parting of ways was two fold 1) client had not paid the firm for its services 3) we had uncovered various serious accounting issues as it related to taxation, legal and its promoter, we were forced out of our contract. The contract that the writer is referring to is the second contract that the client had signed to give us more legal power to go after funds from the promoter and to hire legal counsel to do so. However, Manny believed in what we were doing to sign a second contract, but other powers fought back."
