I am with Tyson Jr. I still believe Tyson has the tools to beat Vitali. Everybody that saw the Tyson vs Williams fight has to admit that Tyson looked like the younger version of himself in the 80's when he took it to Williams in the first round before he blew out his knee. Everybody knows that Williams would not have lasted long if Tyson didnt blow out his knee.

If Mike can actualy stay busy this year and quit taking long layoffs between fights like he has in the past he should have no problem being champ by late 05. Vitali is probably the best boxer out there right now but he is very beatable and a focused 38, 39 yr old Mike would take him out.

Wow....Tyson looked O.K. against a guy for one round . That is not only underwhelming....it's typical of Tyson.
Tyson looked good against a guy, for one round, who looked lousy every second of his fight with Klitschko.
If Tyson was 1/10 the fighter he was in the 80's he'd have KO'd Williams before his knee had a chance to go out on him.

Tyson still possesses the power to KO any man on this planet....but, he's gotta do it early or else.

This was one of the funniest threads I read in a while.

And btw educational for Tyson jr: people in africa are not called europeans, parents name their childeren etc. But he did not yet learn what a "load" is.

Tyson is too old, been too long away. Hopefully he sticks to training and shows some entertaining fights (I also would like to see Tyson-Tua). But Vitali, is too effective with his "one dimensional" boxing (as it was called here). Tyson can not take these kind of shots, and doubt he can slip them to get at punching distance. Vitaly is too good at this moment and Tyson too far gone. There is always the punchers chance, but todays Tyson lacks the heart and will to "sail against the current".

MT jr, take your head out of your ass, and look at all of tysons performances since he got out of jail. Unless he takes some kind of mgaic potion he will struggle to beat anyone in the top 7 or 8. Buddy Mcgirt is not the best trainer in the world (manny steward, freddy roach, dan goossen, floyd mayweather snr). Do you know anything about boxing?

Tyson is washed up...So unfortunately I don't think he can beat Vitali...Believe me I used to be a huge Tyson fan as a kid and still wish him the best but the reality is that it's over for him and has been for years...I've been reading your posts and at first I thought you were joking about the things you said BUT come to realize that you are serious...I don't pick on kids so I wont mess with you...I'm only saying this as fact and it's nothing personal...TYSON IS WASHED UP.

You sound like a child, what are you 12 years old? I know plenty about boxing. I would assume I was watching and studying the sport before you were born. If you would like to debate, thats great, but don't resort to childish responses. I would like to know what would give you the idea that Mike Tyson is still a good fighter...that is a serious question. Convince me please

I don't think Mike could beat Vitali, but he has a punchers chance. He hits hard. If he doesn't beat Vitali within 3 rounds, it would be well over. Mike has about the same chane as Erich "Butterbean" Esch. If you think about it, the majority of the big men in the sport have a fighting chance. One punch can quickly change a fight. Regardless, this is a fight the public would like to see.

Side Note: We hear Tyson is done, retired, all set with fighting..... A couple weeks later, we hear he is being trained by Buddy. WTF! Is the guy going to fight or not?

fair enough..every puncher has a "puncher's chance" whether its Tyson or someone else. The good trainers jump on board for the payday Mike still will bring becuase of his ability to sell PPV.

by the way I think the fight will happen eventually. Vitali wants the fight and Mike wants the money. I would see a couple tuneups for Mike and then a VK showdown.

it will be a similar to the beatdown Lennox gave him
